Tim Brady a 2024 finalist for Professional of the Year
Tim Brady is a top three finalist for Professional of the Year, presented by the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce 2024 Business Excellence Awards (BEA).
“It’s an honour to represent all the great work pharmacists have been doing over the last few years,” says Tim, who attending the Media Event at the J.P. Wisers Experience Centre on January 25, 2024 where the finalists were revealed.
The signature event is put on each spring to recognizing outstanding local businesses and individuals. Three finalists in ten award categories will compete for a coveted BEA, with winners announced from the Chrysler Theatre stage on May 15, 2024. The BEAs will be broadcast live to Cogeco subscribers in Windsor and Leamington on YourTV, starting at 6:00pm.
Those nominated for Professional of the Year are persons who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their field and positively impacted the community.
Tim Brady has been a practicing Pharmacist for 23 years. He has worked in hospitals, large pharmacy chains, and independent pharmacies in both Canada and the United States before founding Brady’s Drug Store (BDS) in 2014, which he has grown from 1 to 3 pharmacies, in time for Brady’s 10-year anniversary in 2024.
Tim is the Past Board Chair of the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA), representing over 10,000 pharmacy professionals. As Board Chair, he was recently successful in advocating for expanded scope of practice for the profession and helping to facilitate pharmacists’ integral role in the COVID-19 vaccination rollout across Ontario pharmacies. Without pharmacy involvement in the vaccine rollout, the health outcomes could have been much worse for Ontarians. Tim has been on the OPA Board in various roles and committees for over 10 years, including as an elected representative for the southwestern Ontario region.
Tim is an avid community advocate and volunteer and an industry media spokesperson. He loves hockey and football, and is married, with two young-adult children.
